Getting more repins is a vital part of your Pinterest marketing strategy, as this can ensure that people are visiting your website weeks, months, or even years after you’ve initially pinned your content. 15 Smart Ways To Increase Your Repin Rate

On Your Pinterest Account
1. Get a Pinterest business account
Getting a Pinterest business account gives you access to tools and features that can help you identify and promote your top performing pins. For example, with a business account, you'll get Pinterest analytics which will show how well your pins are performing. You'll also be able to feature some of your boards which allows you to highlight your top performing pins and boards. You can easily convert an existing personal account to a business account here.

2. Claim your website on Pinterest
Doing this one simple thing can have a huge impact on how often your pins are seen because Pinterest favors accounts that are verified. When you claim your website, it lets Pinterest know you're a trustworthy source which helps to increase your pin ranking. Increased pin ranking means that your pins get shown to more people and are more likely to show up in search. For information on how to claim your website go here.

3. Enable rich pins
Rich pins provide more information about a pin. That extra information can help your pins be seen in searches. The more your pin is seen, the more likely it is to be repinned.  Go here for more information about rich pins.

4. Add searchable keywords to your bio, board titles, and board descriptions
Including keywords in your profile will help people find you and your pins on Pinterest.

5. Highlight your most important or popular boards in your profile header and with featured boards
With a business account you'll be able to prominently display some of your boards. Featuring your most popular or highest performing boards will make them more visible and more likely to be pinned from.

6. Add searchable keywords to your pin descriptions
Including keywords in your pin descriptions allows your pins to be found when someone does a search on Pinterest. For example, if I pinned a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, I would want to include words in the description that people will likely use when they search for a chocolate chip recipe. Of course I would use the words "chocolate chip cookie recipe" but I would want to use other search tems that someone might use like "easy, best, chewy, homemade, gluten free, vegan, etc.)

7. Include hashtags in pin descriptions
In addition to keywords, be sure to include hashtags in your pin description to provide Pinterest an alternate way to find your pin. It takes time for Pinterest to apply its search algorithm to new pins, so your pin might not appear in search results right away. For example, it may take a few days before my chocolate chip cookie pin shows up. But if I include #cookies in my description, Pinterest will show all the newest pins using that hashtag.
8. Create pin-worthy graphics

Having gorgeous images makes people want to pin them! Use images that are light and bright. There are many sites where you can get high quality 100% free stock photography. But, if you take your own pictures, a photo editor like PicMonkey can help you fix issues and add text. (You can learn how to make great looking pins with PicMonkey here)

9. Write compelling headlines or titles on your pins
Add text to your image that provides more information and context. Write captivating headlines that make people want to click through to read more.

On Your Blog
10. Create high-quality blog posts that readers find useful, valuable, or informative
Having outstanding content on your website is the best way to get people to pin your stuff. Provide high quality posts that are well written and informative. When people find your content useful, they are more likely to pin it. Also, when someone follows a pin from Pinterest back to your website, make sure that your page delivers what's promised in the pin. You want your visitor to be so impressed by your content that they bookmark your blog, sign up for your email list, and come back again for more. If your blog post doesn’t deliver, your visitor isn't likely to come back.
11. Make it easy for people to pin by including a pin button on your website
Make it easy for people to pin your images by installing a "save" button on your website. When someone wants to share your content, all they have to do is hover over an image and click the Pinterest share button that appears. You can get the code for Pinterest save buttons on the Pinterest widgets page.
When Pinning

12. Pin consistently
Pinning consistently every day can help increase the visibility of your pins. But who has time to stop what they're doing throughout the day and pin? Nobody. That's why Tailwind is a lifesaver. Tailwind automates your pinning and frees you up to work on other aspects of your online business.

13. Pin already popular content to your boards
Don't keep re-pinning a low performing pin. This lowers the quality of your boards and keeps your content from showing up in the smart feed! If a pin isn't performing well, edit your the pin. Try changing the pin's title, description, or image to get better results.
14. Share your pins in Tailwind tribes

Tribes are groups of pinners within Tailwind that agree to share each other's pins. Sharing your pin in a tribe allows multiple people to pin it and share it with their audience. Not only is this a great way to get more exposure for your pin, but it's a great way to find new pins for your Pinterest boards.

15. Share your pins on high performing group boards
If you only pin an image once, even if you have thousands of Pinterest followers, it may not be enough to get seen. Pin images multiple times to different boards to increase the exposure of your pins.
